"PE ELL'S POLISH DAZE - August 1 & 2, 2009"
During this weekend our Polish heritage will be celebrated, for in past years, Pe Ell was sometimes called "the Polish Town" because so many Polish immigrants came there to work in the sawmills and logging camps. Some of their descendants remain, but mostly they have spread throughout Washington state, nearby Oregon, and a few even farther afield.
There will be fun, food and games for all. An authentic Polish dinner will be featured in the school cafeteria with Polish music provided by former Pe Ell-ite Bob Kasnick and the High Fives band. Mark you calendar and attend if you can! Watch this website for the schedule of events, when it is decided.
