About the Author
Leo Kowalski is a retired international steamship company executive and amateur genealogist. He is the grandson of immigrant Polish homesteaders in Pe Ell, where he graduated from Pe Ell High School in 1943. He served in the army in the Southwest Pacific Theater during World War II. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, he currently lives in Southern California.
Mr. Kowalski has travelled extensively throughout the U.S. and the world, and is the author of five books:
